Tanzania's Bahati Kizanguzi Finishes as Top Scorer of CECAFA U-17 Women’s Championship

Despite Tanzania's defeat to Uganda in the final, forward Bahati Kizanguzi emerged as the top scorer of the 2026 CECAFA U-17 Women’s Championship.

Kizanguzi enjoyed a remarkable tournament in front of her home fans, consistently finding the back of the net and playing a key role in Tanzania's run to the final. 

Her impressive goal-scoring exploits earned her the Golden Boot award as the competition's leading scorer.

The striker's individual achievement was one of the standout performances of the tournament, highlighting her potential as one of the region's brightest young talents.
