Uganda Run Riot Against Djibouti with 13-0 Victory in CECAFA U-17 Girls' Championship


Uganda produced a dominant display to thrash Djibouti 13-0 in their opening Group B match of the CECAFA U-17 Girls' Championship in Tanzania.

Shadia Nabirye starred for the Teen Cranes with a hat-trick, finding the net in the 18th, 39th and 41st minutes. 

Justice Ayerango also grabbed a brace with goals in the 2nd and 56th minutes.

The scoring spree was completed by Namaseruka (10'), Flavia Yagala (25'), Immaculate Achen (49'), Tracy Nabalanzi (81'), Rashida Nakalema (87'), Vicky Ateronimungu (89') and Brenda Nasaka (90').

The emphatic victory sends Uganda to the top of Group B on goal difference ahead of South Sudan, who edged Zanzibar 1-0 thanks to Amou Sarah Jaffar's 78th-minute winner. 

Djibouti and Zanzibar remain without points after the opening round of matches.
