JUBA, South Sudan — Angario FC booked their place in the quarter-finals of the 10th edition of the Monyie-Miji Football Tournament after edging Ohilang FC 7-6 in a dramatic penalty shootout at Bulluk Playground on Monday.

The Round of 16 encounter ended goalless after regulation time, forcing the tie to be decided from the penalty spot.

Ohilang goalkeeper James Abuna made an early statement by saving Angario striker Mete Irivai's opening penalty. However, Angario goalkeeper Luke Satero responded immediately by denying Mark Otiara's spot-kick to restore parity in the shootout.

With both teams converting their subsequent penalties, the decisive moment came when Thomas Otwari struck the crossbar with Ohilang's final kick, handing Angario a 7-6 shootout victory and a place in the last eight of the competition.

Angario will now turn their attention to the quarter-finals as they continue their quest for the Monyie-Miji Football Tournament title.
