El Merriekh SC Begin Pre-Season Preparations Ahead of CAF Champions League Campaign

South Sudan Premier League and South Sudan Cup champions El Merriekh SC Bentiu have officially started their pre-season preparations ahead of the 2026/2027 season, with the Bentiu-based club currently in Uganda as they gear up for their domestic title defence and CAF Champions League preliminary round campaign.

The champions commenced their training sessions at Nsambya YES Center under the guidance of their new head coach, Jean Claude Loboko, as the technical team begins preparations for a demanding season ahead.

The club’s official sponsor, Bebeto Coach Services, continues to support the team during this important phase of preparations. The CEO of Bebeto Coach Services, Mr. Bol Mut Char, paid an official visit to the squad and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to the club.

El Merriekh SC stated:

“This morning, we officially started our pre-season training under the guidance of our new Head Coach, Jean Claude Loboko, at Nsambya YES Center.”

The club added:

“We were also honored to receive an official visit from the CEO of Bebeto Coach Services, Mr. Bol Mut Char. We sincerely thank him and the entire Bebeto Coach Services management team for their continued support and commitment to our club under his leadership.”

The champions concluded:

“Together, we look forward to a successful season ahead.”

After securing a historic domestic double last season, El Merriekh SC will now focus on building fitness, tactical organisation and squad cohesion as they prepare to represent South Sudan in the CAF Champions League preliminary rounds.
