Greater Oronyo Edge Isaloro to Reach Monyie-Miji Quarter-finals



Olic Mario's second-half strike seals a hard-fought 1-0 victory at Bulluk Playground.


Greater Oronyo booked their place in the quarter-finals of the 10th edition of the Monyie-Miji Football Tournament after a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Isaloro at Bulluk Playground in Juba on Wednesday.

The decisive moment came in the 57th minute when Olic Mario tapped home from close range after a brilliant delivery from substitute Silvano Achiga.

Despite strong resistance from Isaloro, Greater Oronyo remained composed defensively and held on to their slender advantage until the final whistle to secure their place in the last eight.

The victory keeps Greater Oronyo's hopes of lifting the Monyie-Miji title alive as the knockout stages continue.
