Juba, South Sudan - Lion Hunters FC have ended a five-month silence on Facebook, publishing their first post since 22 January 2026, when they announced the signing of forward Mandela Wandera.

The Yei-based club, which was relegated from the South Sudan Premier League after two seasons in the top flight, is set to compete in the Yei Football Association First Division League this season.

In a message to supporters, the club expressed gratitude for the backing it received during its time in the Premier League and pledged to return stronger.

"We will bounce back stronger  from the source. Thanks to all the fans for being supportive throughout the two seasons in the South Sudan Premier League. We believe we will come back and continue from where we ended. Thanks."

The post marks the club's first public communication in months as preparations begin for life in the first division, with Lion Hunters aiming to mount a promotion challenge and secure an immediate return to the South Sudan Premier League.
