Al Ghazal FC are in advanced discussions with coach Rizik Hakim over the club's vacant head coach position, according to reliable sources familiar with the negotiations.

Sources told Sports Hunter South Sudan that talks between the two parties have progressed positively, with only administrative procedures remaining before the process can be concluded. While discussions are at an advanced stage, no final agreement has been reached and the appointment remains subject to the completion of the outstanding formalities.

When contacted by Sports Hunter, Hakim confirmed that discussions with the club were ongoing but indicated that the process had not yet been finalised.

He described the opportunity as "valuable" and declined to comment on what his priorities would be if appointed, saying his focus remains on the ongoing process.

Hakim also indicated that the timing of any announcement rests with the club, noting that the matter is part of the normal employer-employee process.

Al Ghazal FC are seeking a successor to Faustin Mfumu Mbenza, who recently left the club. An official announcement is expected only after the remaining administrative procedures have been completed.

At this stage, discussions remain ongoing, and no appointment has been formally confirmed by either party.
