Atlabara FC Edge Past Salaam FC 2-0 in South Sudan Cup




Juba, South Sudan  – Atlabara FC secured a crucial 2-0 win over Salaam FC in the Round of 16 of the South Sudan Cup, at the Juba NationalStadiumon Friday 3rd April 2026, keeping their hopes alive in the knockout competition.

The first goal came in the 21st minute when A. Billy found the back of the net, giving Atlabara FC an early advantage. The match remained tense for much of the game as Salaam FC searched for an equalizer, but Atlabara’s disciplined defense held firm.

The South Sudan Premier League club was nominated by the South Sudan Football Federation (SSFF) after Kator FC turned down an invitation to participate in the tournament.  This development followed CAF’s decision to reject Kator from representing the country in the CAF Confederation Cup.
